Hessenthaler has trio injured for opening test

Friday 15th August 2008

DOVER ATHLETIC boss Andy Hessenthaler expects a tough opening game against Harrow Borough tomorrow, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Kent giants will be without injured trio defender Craig Cloke, midfield playmaker Alan Pouton and striker Shaun Welford.

And after a string of pre-season friendlies, Hessenthaler expects a tough opener on their Ryman Premier League return after a three year absence.

"It’s a tough start but I’m looking forward to it now as I’ve had enough of friendlies and need the real games," Hessenathler told www.kentishfootball.co.uk on the eve of the game.

"Harrow Borough will be a tough test, they’re a strong team, very organised and will come and make it very difficult for us, like most teams will do at Dover."
