Holmesdale begin search for new reserve team manager

Monday 20th July 2009
HOLMESDALE begin the search for a new reserve team manager to replace Danny Bushell, who was forced to step down due to personal reasons, writes Stephen McCartney.

Last season was a successful one for the Oakley Road club, with the first team finishing in fifth place in the Bulmers Cider Kent League table - despite being in the top two for most of the season - and Bushell's reserve side went on to clinch the division two title - nine points ahead of runners-up Herne Bay.

Club secretary, Mark Hayes is inviting applicants for the role of reserve team manager.

"Unfortunately due to personal reasons Danny Bushell has had to step down," he told www.kentishfootball.co.uk tonight.

"We are looking for someone to carry on his excellent work from last season and help the reserves establish themselves in Division One of the Kent League."

Any interested parties should send their details to secretary@holmesdalefc.co.uk.

Meanwhile, the club have arranged a game against Ryman League Division One South side Chatham Town for this Thursday, 23rd July.

The match against Alex O'Brien's side will kick off at 7:15pm and take place at Fitness Exchange, Copers Cope Road, Beckenham - the old Nat West Sports Ground.

Chatham's derby at Lordswood, which was scheduled for the same night, was cancelled as Lordswood's main pitch at Martyn Grove is not ready to stage the game.
