A new chapter starts tomorrow, says Doncaster bound striker Alfie May
HYTHE TOWN manager Clive Cook has announced a reshuffle to his management team going into the New Year.
Assistant manager and coach Will Graham has had to step down due to the shift patterns required by his new job as a prison officer, which means he would regularly not be available. Mark Lane resumes the assistant manager role in addition to his duties as goalkeeping coach.
Former Chatham Town manager Darren Anslow returns to the club as coach, a job he held for part of last season.
“I would like to thank Will for everything he has done here and wish him well,” Cook told www.hythetownfc.co.uk.
“Also to welcome Darren, who is a highly-qualified coach, back to Hythe Town. He has been running some training sessions recently when will was unavailable and doing some in-match performance analysis for me.
“I also appreciate Laney finding the time to again be my assistant.”
Meanwhile, striker Alfie May, played his final game for the club in their 1-1 home draw against Faversham Town today.
His 27 goals this season has helped secure him a move to League Two side Doncaster Rovers, who are in third-place in the table.
“Alfie May is set to join League Two promotion contenders Doncaster Rovers once a deal is finalised in the January transfer window,” said the club statement.
“His final game for Hythe is expected to be on New Year’s Eve when the Cannons are at home to Faversham, giving fans the opportunity to see Alfie at Reachfields for what is likely to be his last game for the club and to bid him bon voyage.”
May tweeted post-match: “A new chapter starts tomorrow. Hope everyone has a quality new year and wish my family and friends a good 2017.”
