Hythe Town boss unveils the arrival of coach Steve Nolan

Thursday 22nd May 2014
HYTHE TOWN manager Tim Dixon has unveiled a new member of his management team.

Steve Nolan, who quit Whitstable Town on the same night as Nicky Southall parted company as the club’s manager on 7 May, has joined Dixon at Reachfields Stadium.

“I am delighted to confirm that Steve Nolan has joined the management team,” former Ramsgate boss Dixon told www.hythetownfc.co.uk.

“Steve is a well-respected and experienced manager and coach who is very well known in Kent football circles. He will be a valued addition to the club.”

Nolan will replace Lloyd Blackman, who formed part of Scott Porter’s management team.

Blackman used Twitter to say: “Best of luck to the Cannons.  Enjoyed my time at Hythe Town and made some good friends.  Let’s see what the next challenge has to offer.”

Dixon – who will be assisted by Darren Beale - revealed that three of last season’s squad has decided to stay faithful to the club.

He said: “Craig Thompson is the first player to commit to the 2014/15 squad, along with Lee Pleau and John Walker.

“Hopefully I will be in a position to announce more squad members in the next few days.

Dixon and the club’s new chairman Trevor Kennett will meet supporters at Reachfields Stadium on Friday, 30 May (19:00).
