Hythe Town plan ahead for Dover's mouth-watering Cup visit
Hythe Town have put in plans ahead of next Saturday’s mouth-watering FA Cup Second Qualifying Round clash, against their Ryman League Division One South neighbours Dover Athletic.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side, playing their third away FA Cup game, make the 30 mile round trip to Reachfields Stadium - and a crowd of over 1,000 is expected.
Reachfields Stadium will be open from 12 noon and the Kent League club have laid on special parking on Hythe Green.
A statement issued by the Kent League club, said: “Due to the numbers expected, we will need to clear our bar area to all, except pass holders immediately before the match until the final whistle.”
Pass holders (players, officials and their guests) will also be permitted use of the two parking areas adjacent to the turnstiles but the neighbouring streets are usually congested on a normal Saturday, so Hythe Town urge all those travelling by car to park on The Green for a small donation.
Access is via Portland Road, which is next to the Dukes Head Pub (just out of Red Lion Square) and the parking times are between 1pm and 6pm. It’s just a five minute walk to the turnstiles.
Regular Hythe supporters can, however, purchase passes for the game on Tuesday night.
“These passes are the same price as admission on the day, but will allow you to use the car park and bar area during the game.
“However, we do urge you to arrive early to get the best places,” added the statement.
Admission prices have been confirmed as £7 (adults) and £4 (concessions). Match day programmes will cost £1.
