I am confident we can build on success, says new boss Levett

SEVENOAKS TOWN have yesterday unveiled their new look management team, writes Stephen McCartney.

Keith Levett, who was one of fifteen candidates to apply for the Greatness Park hot-seat, replaces Simon Jones, who, along with his assistant Joe Little, quit after guiding the club to it’s best ever finish in the Kent League (sixth-place) and reached the Kent League Cup Final for the first time.

Levett brings with him a full management team in Murray Carcary (assistant), Rob Quinn (player-coach) and Gareth Pritchard (physiotherapist).

Levett was with Blue Square Bet South side Welling United as coach last seasaon, working in a management structure that consisted of Jamie Day (player-manager), Barry Ashby (assistant) and Dean Frost (coach).

Irishman Quinn, 33, played in the middle of the park for Cray Wanderers in the Ryman Premier League last season and has also played for the likes of Crystal Palace, Brentford, Oxford United, Bristol Rovers, Stevenage Borough, Gravesend & Northfleet, AFC Wimbledon and Welling United, before signing for Cray Wanderers.

Levett, who issued a statement to www.sevenoakstownfc.org, says he wants to continue the good work that Jones put in during his reign at Greatness Park.

“I would like to thank the chairman for giving me the opportunity to manage the club,” he said.

“I am looking forward to working with the players and everyone involved with Sevenoaks Town.

“I feel confident we can build on a very successful season last year and aim for an even higher position.

“I feel the club has enormous potential and we will all be working hard to bring more success to the club and work closely with the junior sections to bring more integration within the club.

“I know all of the coaching staff are looking forward to pre-season training and we can’t wait to get started.”
