RAMSGATE have confirmed striker Ian Pulman has re-signed for their Ryman League Division One South rivals Whitstable Town. The striker, who scored 30 goals for Whitstable Town during the 2010-2011 season, has previously played for Chelsea, Margate and Eastbourne Borough among others.
Ramsgate manager Tim Dixon confirmed Pulman has decided to re-join The Oystermen after a phone call with the player at the weekend.
“Pully called me on Sunday and it was a really difficult conversation as it wasn’t an easy decision for him to make because he loves the club and what we are trying to do at Ramsgate,” Dixon told www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk.
“However, the offer that he has been made was too good for him to refuse and this helped to make his mind up.
“Obviously, this leaves a huge void which I must now try to fill and is yet another challenge to the management team.
“We wish Pully all the best as he is a really top bloke who gives nothing but 100% and was a pleasure to work with and I wish him continued success.”
Speaking about the current transfer market, Dixon added: “It is becoming very difficult to tie down players this year as there are many clubs in the market for the top targets.
“I have a budget to keep to and in some areas it is difficult to compete with the Manchester City’s of the Ryman League, but I will endeavour to identify the right players and try to bring them to the club.”
