I have decided to take a step back from management to focus on off-the-pitch matters, says Lee Hill

SEVEN ACRE & SIDCUP have unveiled their new management team tonight.

Lee Hill, who guided the club to tenth-place in the inaugural Kent Invicta League season, remains at the Oxford Road club as club secretary, a position he held last season whilst being manager.

Chris Tuley has been appointed as the club’s new first team manager, with Danny Frost coming in as player assistant-manager and Phil Collier arriving as coach.

Midfielder Frost, whose older brother Dean coaches Blue Square Bet (Conference) South neighbours Welling United, helped Phoenix Sports to runners-up spot in the Kent Invicta League last season.

Hill said: “With regards to plans on the pitch for the 2012-2013 Kent Invicta League season, I feel that with the new management team in place and their knowledge of local players, Seven Acre & Sidcup can improve on their final league position from last season.

“I have decided to take a step back from management to focus on the off-the-field matters, such as applying for grants, gaining sponsorships and improving playing facilities to fulfil Step 6 criteria.

“I will also continue in my role as club secretary.”

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that they will play Erith Town (7 July), Rochester United (14 July), Cray Wanderers (17 July), Crown Alexandra (21 July), Thamesmead Town (26 July) and Stansfeld Oxford & Bermondsey Club (28 July) in pre-season.

They are awaiting confirmation from Welling United about a friendly match on Sunday, 5 August.

Hill added: “Our pre-season training got underway on Wednesday, with around 35 players attending.

“Training will now be every Tuesday and Thursday at Hall Place, Bourne Road.  Training begins at 7pm.  All players are welcome.”
