I'm really pleased to have Preston Edwards back with me, says Fleet boss Liam Daish
Manager Liam Daish told www.ebbsfleetunited.co.uk that he is pleased to re-sign the former Millwall stopper.
He said: “I’m really pleased to have Preston back with me. He undertook surgery prior to the end of the season, having played with a niggling injury for much of the season. It is really good news that he is making a good recovery and is already back in light training. Preston is a very important member of the squad.”
Jessica McQueen, who was appointed Kent football’s first ever female chairman, added, “Having Preston back is brilliant news. He is a larger than life character and good to have in and around the club. Having him back for another year, together with the three players we have already signed is wonderful”
MyFootballclub chairman Keith Handley added: "More great work by Liam in securing Preston services for another season. Preston always interacts with the fans and members via twitter and this helps to feel even more involved with this great club.
“Members are very proud when he and other players at the club have represented their countries at International level. It all adds to the feeling that we are a worldwide family club.
“Members and fans recently contributed towards the cost of a recent operation on Preston's Ankle and so will be delighted that he is staying with us."
