Invicta extend highly-rated keeper's stay
Thursday 22nd March 2007
Folkestone Invicta have this week captured the signature of on-loan goalkeeper Richard Martin for another month. The highly-rated goalkeeper was given permission by his employers Brighton & Hove Albion to remain at the Ryman Premier League club for another month.
His last game was due to be at Walton & Hersham on Saturday after Neil Cugley snapped him up on 23rd February.
The goalkeeping position has been under the spotlight since Tony Kessell joined Ryman League Division One South outfit Dartford at the end of January.
However, Martin has impressed whilst at Cheriton Road, conceding just two goals in five games and making a string of superb saves to help the Kent club maintain their Ryman Premier League status.
