Faversham Town boss James Collins gets one of his prime targets
RAMSGATE manager Matt Longhurst has unveiled the signing of goalkeeper Brannon Daly.
The 25-year-old has signed from their Isthmian League South East Division side East Grinstead Town.
Daly also works as a goalkeeper coach at Premier League club Arsenal and Longhurst is delighted to bring him to Southwood Stadium.
“Brannon is a top keeper who I enjoyed working with back when I was with East Grinstead,” Longhurst told the club website.
“He’s won this league before with Merstham, whilst he’s also played for Met Police, Kingstonian, Walton Casuals and others.
“The level of experience he has at this level is incredible and the quality he will bring to our side is exciting. What a coup for the club – a perfect fit.”
Meanwhile, former Ramsgate coach Will Graham has joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Cray Wanderers to work as their scout.
Elsewhere in the Isthmian League South East Division, Ashford United boss Tommy Warrilow has bolstered his defensive options by snapping up right-back Bradley Simms and centre-half Ben Gorham from VCD Athletic and Beckenham Town respectively.
Faversham Town manager James Collins has signed winger Stephen Okoh, 25.
Collins told the club website: “I’m really looking forward to working with Stephen this season.
“He is a player that I have admired for a long time. He has bundles of pace and an eye for a goal.
“He is proven at this level and is still only 25 so hopefully we are getting him in his prime.
“He was one of our main targets, so I’m absolutely delighted that we have managed to bring him to the club.”
