It's a big game in context to where we both are in the league, says Dulwich Hamlet boss Gavin Rose

DULWICH HAMLET manager Gavin Rose says he doesn’t study the league table at this time of the season.

The Hamlet are in fifth-place in the Ryman Premier League table with 35 points from 16 games and are a three points adrift of leaders Kingstonian, but with a couple of games in hand.

“Really? I don’t know what the situation is in the league – it sounds about right,” said Rose.

“I’ve totally not taken any stock of the league as yet – thanks for letting me know that!

“We’re sort of gaging it week by week and seeing how we do. I know we’re doing ok because we’ve won more than we’ve lost at the moment.

“We haven’t played every in the league so we’re still trying to find our feet and work out what all the teams have to offer.”

Third-placed Wealdstone, who are level on points with The Hamlet, arrive at Champion Hill on Saturday, in a game that can be classed as a six-pointer.

But Rose said: “It’s a big game in context to where we both are in the league – it’s late November so you won’t say the league is going one way or the other in November.

“It’s a big game really because where we are in the league at the moment. It’s three points. I think both teams know that as well.

“I’ve not even looked at how many points we’ve got to be honest and how many games we’ve played.”

Meanwhile, striker Junior James, 25, has signed dual-registration forms with Southern Counties East Football League tenants Fisher.
