It's vital we make the right decision, says Dover Athletic chairman

JIM PARMENTER has been inundated with applications in the last 24 hours regarding the managerial vacancy at Dover Athletic, writes Justin Allen.

The Whites chairman told www.doverathletic.com today: “you would not believe some of the names that have applied for the job" since Andy Hessenthaler left the club by mutual consent yesterday.

And now he is braced for a busy weekend.

He said: “We’ve had a good mixture of applicants. The club has received loads of CVs. Some of the names that have contacted us will amaze you. Some of the managers have Conference or League experience, there’s some ex-League players and a few big names too.

“It’s vital we make the right decision – but we’re already working on it.”
