It was good to get back to winning ways, says Dulwich Hamlet boss Gavin Rose

DULWICH HAMLET manager Gavin Rose says he was pleased with his side’s professionalism during Saturday’s game at struggling Cray Wanderers.

The Hamlet came away from Hayes Lane with a 6-0 win, courtesy of a hat-trick from Turkish midfield diamond Erhun Oztumer and one goal each from Nyren Clunis, Marc-Anthony Okoye and Kershaney Samuels.

That win followed a 3-2 home win over Grays Athletic at Champion Hill on Boxing Day.

The Pink & Blues are now in second-place in the Ryman Premier League table with 50 points from 23 games – one point behind leaders Wealdstone.

“It was good to get back to winning ways (after losing 2-0 at Lowestoft Town) with the wins against Grays and Cray respectively,” said Rose.

Rose added: “I felt our performance against Cray was a lot more satisfying not because of the amount of goals we scored, but more so for playing with the professionalism we did.

“This mentality will hold us in good stead for the rest of the season if we can maintain it.”

Rose takes his side to Colston Avenue on Wednesday to face third-from-bottom Carshalton Athletic, before welcoming seventeenth-placed Metropolitan Police to Champion Hill on Saturday.

Rose said: “We play at Carshalton on Wednesday away and will try our best to get a result and then concentrate on the Met Police game afterwards.”
