Keeping us safe from relegation is the main aim this year, says Fisher boss Dean Harrison

FISHER boss Dean Harrison says his job is to guide the club away from the sole relegation spot. The Fish were knocked out of the Macron Southern Counties East Football League Challenge Cup on Monday when they went down to a 3-1 home defeat to in-form Tunbridge Wells on Monday night.
Martin Larkin’s side won their seventh game on the bounce to extend their unbeaten run to ten games after Chris Seenan, debutant Paul Booth and substitute Tolley Beatson scored.
Fisher midfielder Alfie Roche pulled a goal back late on as Fisher extended their winless run to thirteen games.
The Fish sit in the bottom four in the league, having won four and drawn five of their 21 league games and are five points clear of the sole relegation spot, occupied by Erith Town.
Harrison takes his side to second-placed Erith & Belvedere on Saturday and wants to avoid being the first club to be relegation from the Southern Counties East Football League.
“It’s going to be tough Saturday,” said the former Beckenham Town coach.
“We’ll be very happy to get something out of that. A point will be lovely and then we’ve got three six-pointers, Lingfield twice and Croydon, which are massive so we need to get good points out of those games.”
Harrison added: “It’s a tough job, obviously keeping us safe from relegation is the main aim this year. That’s what we’ll be aiming to do.
“We’re still trying to get players in and we’re still getting the boys to play the way we want them to play and if we can do that then there’s a bigger picture here at Fisher.
“It’s a massive club, especially getting a move back to Rotherhithe back to Salter Road. It will be good but obviously the main aim is staying up this year.”
The club are on the brink of ending their long exile at Dulwich Hamlet, by moving on to a 3G pitch close to their former ground.
Harrison cannot wait to lead the club out back in Rotherhithe – but he must ensure the club retain their current league status.
“That will be great. I’d love to do that,” said the 38-year-old.
“I just think that will be fantastic to move back there. We’ll start getting decent crowds and getting good players’ in. Local players will want to play.
“There’s a bigger picture here. There’s a lot of potential at this club. It’s been struggling and there’s no reason for it to struggle for the size of the club it is.”
