Kent County League: We can then set about thinking how we put together a constitution for a season to begin, possibly in September but even that must remain fluid
KENT COUNTY League chairman Gavin Hoare believes the 2020-21 amateur football season could begin again in September.
Football has been suspended due to the coronavirus crisis and it was announced on 26 March that all results in the League were declared null and void and expunged from the records.
However, Hoare has issued a statement tonight and says he is planning for the 2020-21 football season at amateur level.
“With the biggest decision now behind us, it’s time to start to focus forward,” said Hoare.
“As I guess you all expected the presentation evening will now not go ahead. The AGM is now on hold and we will review this as time moves on.
“I am setting my team several tasks whilst we have the time. They will look at several processes we use and look towards any new ways to improve the running of the league. I have also asked them to review our rule set.
“We can then set about thinking how we put together a constitution for a season to begin, possibly in September but even that must remain fluid.
“Once we are in a better position and we know more, I will advise when we can start answering your many questions.”
With suspensions still counting going into the new campaign, Hoare added: “I have been asked a few times but it is the results that have been voided only. My team and I will now finish up with any other matters outstanding from the current season.”
