I have full belief in the squad and that we will pull ourselves out of this blip, says Lordswood boss Richard Styles
LORDSWOOD manager Richard Styles says he is working hard to get his side out of their current five-game blip.
The club have slipped down to eleventh-place in the Southern Counties East Football League Premier Division table with 10 points from as many games and Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Beckenham Town was their fifth defeat on the bounce.
Styles has been working hard on the training ground to turn around their fortunes and they host third-from-bottom side Fisher tomorrow.
“We play Fisher at home, building on a positive performance for 70 minutes last week where we dominated throughout, created chances and deserved to win the game,” reflected Styles.
“I have taken the positives and worked hard this week at training to get rid of the negatives.
“We owe ourselves a performance and a result to match.
“I’m looking for us to go and show everyone what we are and how good we can be.
“I have full belief in the squad and that we will pull ourselves out of this blip with a decent result tomorrow.”
Styles has Pete Huggins back from injury, while former Gillingham player Ryan Chandler will make his Lordswood debut, having signed from league rivals Tunbridge Wells.
