Luke Daley will be a good addition to our squad, says Dartford boss Tony Burman
Daley, 24, is a product of Norwich City’s Academy, and spent the last two campaigns at Conference Premier side Braintree Town.
He made his first-team debut for Norwich City in February 2009 and featured 10 times for the Canaries during season 2009-10.
He has subsequently had spells at Plymouth Argyle and Lincoln City.
“I have been impressed with Luke throughout the pre-season and I am delighted he has accepted an offer to join us next season,” Burman told the club’s website.
“Luke, at 24, is at a good age, has experience in playing Conference football and will be a good addition to the squad.”
Burman has released a couple of players who he felt haven’t met the grade to play top-flight non-league football.
He said: “I would like to thank both Tom Derry and Jordan Adekunle for their efforts during pre-season. However, at this moment in time, unable to offer them a deal for next season.”
When asked about how he felt about pre-season, Burman, who saw his side beat Ryman League Division One North side Thamesmead Town yesterday, thanks to Andy Pugh’s winner, said: “I am really pleased with the way the pre-season has been going so far.
“The players are looking physically fit, especially after a testing and tough last three games (playing League opposition).
The Darts continue their pre-season preparations with a short trip to Crayford to play VCD Athletic on Tuesday.
Tony Russell guided Vickers to the Ryman Premier League after winning the Ryman League Division One North title on a dramatic final day last term.
