Main stays with Angels - EXCLUSIVE
Tonbridge Angels chairman Nick Sullivan has just announced some good news at the club’s awards ceremony tonight, writes Stephen McCartney.
He has told fans that star striker Jon Main, 26, has signed a new one-year contract to stay with the Ryman Premier League club - quashing rumours about his future.
Main, formerly of Kent sides VCD Athletic and Cray Wanderers, scored 44 goals for the Angels - including seven hat-tricks - last season.
The young looking, pacy striker has opted to stay at the Betterview Longmead Stadium, despite going on recent trails at Football League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers, Milton Keynes Dons and Swindon Town.
www.kentishfootball.co.uk will bring you the EXCLUSIVE interviews to this news on Sunday - we have kept this quiet since being told the news last Tuesday, as the club wanted to unveil this at their presentation night.
