Manager Keith Levett parts company with Sevenoaks Town

SEVENOAKS TOWN are looking for their third first team manager in as many years with Keith Levett leaving after one season in charge.He joined the club last summer, replacing Simon Jones, as part of a new managerial team including player-coach Rob Quinn and reserve team boss Rob Dillon.
He seemed set to continue, but met chairman Tony Smart last week, and the Kent League club have confirmed his departure in a statement, published on the club’s website www.sevenoakstownfc.org today.
"It is with regret that the club announce that Keith Levett stepped down first tem manager Sevenoaks Town Football Club.
"The decision was amicable on both sides and the chairman and management of Sevenoaks Town Football Club would like to thank him for all he has achieved whilst at the club and wish him well for the future."
Meanwhile, Sevenoaks Town have applied to the Vandanel Kent County League to field a reserve team in the competition next season.
The application will be considered at the league's annual meeting in Sittingbourne next month, with the team entered as Sevenoaks FC.
The league is presently split into two Divisions - East and West - with neighbours Otford United and Platt United in the former, while Chipstead, Crockenhill and Westerham compete in the latter.
Club Manager Graham Logsdon said: "The decision has been taken to reduce costs, which have risen dramatically over the past few seasons playing in the Kent League.
The County League annual meeting is on Thursday June 16.
