Margate set to unveil their new manager later this week - EXCLUSIVE

Sunday 18th May 2008

MARGATE will appoint their new manager towards the end of this week, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Hartsdown Park club placed an advertisement in the Non-League Paper seven days ago and are currently sifting through the applicants’ credentials and are expected to unveil Robin Trott’s successor by next weekend.

www.kentishfootball.co.uk spoke EXCLUSIVELY to club secretary Mr Ken Tomlinson this afternoon for an update on when the Ryman Premier League club will make the announcement.

“It’s basically an ongoing situation really,” said Mr Tomlinson.

“Apparently there has been applications for the job but as it stands, no-one has been appointed.

“The advert went into the Non-League Paper last Sunday and the interviews will be conducted in the next ten days (from when the advert was published).

“Basically the situation should be resolved this week.”

When asked when there will be an announcement, Mr Tomlinson added: “End of this week. It’s got to be done very quickly. An announcement Thursday or Friday, I would have thought.”
