THAMESMEAD TOWN manager Keith McMahon has been busy during the summer break by signing five new players, writes Stephen McCartney.
Youngster, Jack Hopkins has signed a one year contract as has Tom Hopkins and McMahon feels the pair will feature more in his first team next season.
"I believe Jack will come through to the first team this year as did Lea Dawson last year," McMahon told www.thamesmeadtownfc.co.uk.
"It shows we are building for the future by singing these young players."
The club are pleased to welcome back Lewis Towser, a defender formerlly of Erith & Belvedere, Fisher Athletic and Dulwich Hamlet, after personal problems.
The other pair who have signed for The Mead are also big news for the club. Solid central defender, James Campbell has arrived from Whitstable Town and quick left sided player Grant Duff signs from Ramsgate - two Ryman League Division One South clubs.
McMahon is pleased to have snapped up former Sittingbourne defender Campbell.
"This is a very big signing for us," he said. "I have been chasing James since the end of last season and was one of my main targets this summer so im over the moon to sign him.
"James' experience with be invaluable. We had difficulties defending last year and with these signings along with Steve Northwood (who has arrived from Maidstone United) will help plug those areas"
