McMahon unveils capture of Tiesse and Mott
Monday 14th June 2010
THAMESMEAD TOWN boss Keith McMahon has today unveiled two more summer signings as he builds his squad for the new season, writes Stephen McCartney.
Bayliss Avenue is being transformed into a much better venue to play football and this is helping McMahon bring quality players to the Ryman League Division One North club.
Last month, McMahon brought in former Sittingbourne, Dover Athletic and Ashford Town striker Bradley Spice, 27.
And striker Alex Tiesse, 24, has today signed for Thamesmead, having joined from Ryman Premier League side Maidstone United.
Ivory Coast born Tiesse started his career as a junior at Millwall, but was released and eventually signed a contract for Conference side Woking. The very fast and skilful player has also featured for Dulwich Hamlet, Beckenham Town, Bromley, Bury and Lewes.
McMahon has also snapped up goalkeeper, Sam Mott, 21, from Ryman League Division One South side Ramsgate.Ramsgate have brought in goalkeeper Conor Quinn from League Two side Gillingham this summer, so Mott’s opportunities at Southwood Stadium may have been limited.
Mott learnt his trade from the age of 15 at Ebbsfleet United, but his first team opportunities were restricted and he signed for Jim Ward’s Rams last summer after his release from Stonebridge Road.
“Once again, these signings mean a big deal for the club and show progression,” McMahon told www.thamesmeadtownfc.co.uk.“I’m pleased to have both Alex and Sam at the club, again they are big signings.”
