Tuesday 09th June 2009
INFLUENTIAL midfielder Scott Mulholland has committed his future to Thamesmead Town, along with the rest of the squad, writes Stephen McCartney.
Despite approaches from other clubs, Mulholland has committed himselff to the Bayliss Avenue club, stating that he is happy playing for the Ryman League Division One North club and is looking forward to the future.
Mead manager Keith McMahon says he is delighted that Mulholland has committed himself to the club and is pleased that the rest of the squad have stayed at the club.
"This really helps the club build on last season and push on at an exciting time for the club," McMahon told www.thamesmeadtownfc.co.uk.
McMahon's first summer signing, so far, has been goalkeeper Steve Northwood, who has arrived from higher-league side Maidstone United.
The Mead struggled during their first ever campaign in Ryman League Division One North, but although McMahon's men finished fifth-from-bottom, they did finish 13 points above the relegation zone.
