New Fisher boss Steve Firkins to be unveiled to fans at Annual General Meeting

Tuesday 14th June 2011
Fisher have today confirmed the date of their Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place at 19:15 on Tuesday June 21st 2011 at Bacon’s College, Timber Pond Road, Rotherhithe.

This year’s AGM will also see Steve Firkins officially introduced as Fisher’s new first team manager, and fans will have the chance to hear the former Greenwich Borough boss talk about his plans and expectations for the new season. The AGM is where members of the Kent League club exercise their democratic right to vote in board elections, on resolutions submitted by members and to receive the accounts for 2010/11. Notice of two resolutions has been received so far: a proposal to change the club badge, and a proposal to change the colours of the away kit.

Any other members wishing to submit a resolution must do so in writing before the date of the AGM. Resolutions cannot be accepted from the floor during the meeting. Resolutions must be proposed by a full member and supported by a seconding full member, and should be sent by email to dan@fisherfc.co.uk  by 5pm on 20th June 2011. You should be prepared to speak in support of your resolution.

Following the conclusion of formal business, new manager Firkins and members of his coaching staff will hold a Q&A session. Firkins will outline his plans for the forthcoming season, and talk about some of the players you will be watching in a Fisher shirt over the coming months. Please note that to attend the AGM you must be a full member of Fisher FC for the 2011/12 season. Current members will have already received renewal forms in the post. New members are welcome to join on the night – membership for the season costs just £10 payable by cash or cheque. Visit www.fisherfc.co.uk/members  for further information.
