New Wells boss makes double swoop
Recently installed Tunbridge Wells boss Mike Robbins has made two signings ahead of their trip to Deal Town on Saturday.
Robbins, who replaced Martin Farnie just nine days ago, has strengthened the side in time of their trip to the Charles Sports Ground.
Joining the Culverden Stadium club are Danny White and Anthony Pace from Chatham Town (Ryman League Division One South) and Erith Town (Kent League) respectively.
White, 21, operates as either a left-back or a centre back and has played for the club now known as Ebbsfleet United.
White also played for Ashford Town and Dartford in the Ryman League before joining Chatham during the close season.
“Danny was my first target, as we needed a back four that knows that it defends first and foremost,” Robbins told www.tunbridgewellsfc.co.uk.
“I believe about six players have played at left-back this season, and it’s time for some stability in that area.
“Danny is comfortable on and off the ball, and will do well for us.”
Meanwhile, Pace, 22, plays on the right-wing, but can also operate down the middle.
Pace has played Kent League football with Thamesmead Town and Faversham Town before joining the Dockers, and offers pace in abundance.
Robbins expects Pace to be one of the fastest three players at the club, joining Justin Shea and Darren Willis.
“Anthony will give me both options and competition down the right,” Robbins explained.
