O'Connell expected to be unveiled as Margate's new boss

IAIN O’CONNELL is expected to be named as Margate’s new manager tonight, according to an Essex newspaper website, writes Stephen McCartney.

Described by The Echo as Great Wakering Rovers “most successful manager ever,” O’Connell is expected to be unveiled as Margate’s third manager this season, at a fans’ forum at Hartsdown Park, which kick’s off at 7:30pm.

The former Margate player led the Ryman League Division One North village side to their highest ever placing in the non-league pyramid and a place in the Essex Senior Cup final during his five-year reign.
