APM CONTRAST newly-elected chairman Phil Hudson says the club will be returning to their own ground in Ditton. The artist formerly known as Aylesford Paper Mills are returning to their old ground of 95 years, Cobdown Sports Club, to re-build the club from top to bottom.
The venue, which is adjacent to the headquarters of the Kent Football Association, is the new training ground of Conference South club Ebbsfleet United.
“We have decided to return the club back to Cobdown and start to re-build with the encouragement from the management and committee of Cobdown Sports and Social Club,” said Mr Hudson.
“We believe we can push the club forward.
“We thank Albert MacNaulty, the owner of Otham Sports Ground for his help he has shown us over the last three years and wish him well.
“At Cobdown we are hoping to develop the club from youth under six to senior team and encourage new and old sponsors as well as creating a fan base.
“Cobdown will be a great base for us.”
Mr Hudson met with the ground grading committee today, who have passed the ground fit so the Paperboys will be able to stage NRG Gyms Kent County League Premier Division football.
