Piscina's contribution has been huge for us, says Moore
Sevenoaks Town joint-manager Derek Moore was full of praise for Luke Piscina, whose on a dual registration with their Ryman Premier League neighbours Tonbridge Angels, writes Stephen McCartney.
Tonbridge resident Piscina, a crowd favourite at the Betterview Longmead Stadium, netted a brace as Sevenoaks Town pulled off a shock 4-3 win over Herne Bay at Greatness Park yesterday, as Moore’s men won their ninth Kent League game of the season.
“We are delighted to get back to back wins for the first time since the early part of the season, and against two reasonably good sides in higher league positions than ourselves so it is very encouraging,” Moore told www.sevenoakstownfc.org after beating Hythe Town and Herne Bay in the past seven days.
He added: “We are well aware of Luke Piscina’s qualities having worked with him for a number of years at Tonbridge Angels and his contribution since coming here has been absolutely huge.
“Today he found the net twice and that was just reward for the work he has put in and he has formed a formidable partnership with Tony Atkins.”
Eleventh placed Sevenoaks Town, meanwhile, travel to Park View Road next Saturday to play an Erith & Belvedere side that are unbeaten in their last six games.
Then they welcome Erith Town to Greatness Park on Tuesday, 27th March.
