RYMAN LEAGUE PLAY-OFF NEWS: Kent Senior Cup Final put back to pre-season

Cray Wanderers’ home semi-final against Metropolitan Police was postponed at 7:10pm tonight after the match official felt that the Hayes Lane pitch was waterlogged.

And the Kent Senior Cup Final between Cray and Ebbsfleet United, scheduled for Saturday, has now been postponed and will be played in pre-season, on a date to be confirmed.

If Ian Jenkins' men defeat Metropolitan Police on Thursday night, then they will travel to Tooting & Mitcham in the final on Saturday.

The Terrors, who finished second in the Ryman League Division One South table, had defeated Worthing 2-0 tonight.

Staines Town, who ended Kent interest in the Ryman Premier League last night, with a 2-1 win over Ramsgate, host AFC Wimbledon in Saturday’s final.

Fans wanting to attend the Wheatsheaf Park final on Saturday should be aware that this game has been made ALL-TICKET with a restriction of 2,500 and Staines were selling tickets immediately after tonight’s win over Jim Ward’s Rams.

Off-form AFC Sudbury will not be joining Ryman League Division One North champions Dartford in the premier next season, as they lost 3-2 to Canvey Island at Kingsmarsh Stadium.

Canvey Island will travel to Redbridge for Saturday’s all-Essex final, after Dean Holdsworth’s side beat Ware 4-2.
