At last! Enfield Town lose appeal and thrown out of Ryman Premier League play-offs

Tuesday 12th May 2015

The Ryman Premier League play-off semi-finals will finally kick off on Thursday night – fourteen days after the original date.

The Football Association dismissed Enfield Town’s long-winded appeal today, which means that they have been kicked out of the play-offs and their place will be taken by sixth-placed Metropolitan Police.

As a result, Thursday semi-finals will see Hendon host Metropolitan Police at Harrow Borough’s Earlsmead Stadium, while Margate play Dulwich Hamlet at Hartsdown Park in an all-ticket clash.

Both matches will kick-off at 7:45pm with the winners meeting in the play-off final on Sunday 17 May, (hosted by the finalist who finished the highest in the league), which will kick-off at 3pm.

Sunday’s winners will join champions Maidstone United in the rebranded Vanarama National League South next season.

A further statement is expected to be issued by the Ryman League later today.
