Southern Counties East Football League: Assuming that the current lockdown ends on 2 December it is our intention to restart league matches on Saturday 12 December 2020
The Southern Counties East Football League has issued the following statement:
“Assuming that the current lockdown ends on 2 December it is our intention to restart league matches on Saturday 12 December 2020 for both the Premier Division and First Division.
This would free up Saturday 5 December for clubs to use for a friendly match or training.
We are expecting 19 December to remain as an FA Vase date (possibly for matches that were due on 28 November) but await confirmation from the FA so we will not be issuing fixtures until we get further details.
Other parts of the country are further behind us due to the weather and Covid in this competition, whereas we just have Stansfeld still to play in the previous round.
There will be no midweek fixtures listed during December in order to ease everyone back in gradually after a four-week lay-off as we are conscious of over-playing without a proper pre-season.
We are in a good position to be able to catch up on the month we have missed later on in the season.
Games will be listed for 26 December, if both teams agree, these can be moved to 27 December or 28 December but the League will need this in writing from both clubs.
The London FA competitions will return in January 2021.”
