Sheringham in talks with Wings' rivals

WELLING UNITED have confirmed that assistant manager Jimmy Dack has left Park View Road to take up the vacant assistant manager's role at Blue Square South side Woking.

Dack will be working alongside newly appointed Woking manager Graham Baker at Kingfield Stadium.

Wings boss Andy Ford, meanwhile, has been quick to appoint Lee Protheroe as his new assistant, although the former Margate man will continue in a playing role next season.

In other news, leading goalscorer, Charlie Sheringham, who has been offered terms by the Wings, is in talks with Blue Square South rivals Bishop’s Stortford.

But Jack Parkinson, Sam Hurrell, Charlie Mitten, Ryan Johnson have all agreed new terms with the Park View Road club.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed a home pre-season friendly against Wembley wonders Gillingham and it will take place at Park View Road on Saturday, 18th July (3pm).  Other friendlies will be announced in due course.
