Saturday 31st May 2008

CHATHAM TOWN manager Steve Binks has today announced that the majority of last season’s squad have re-signed for the club’s Ryman League Division One North campaign next season, writes Stephen McCartney.

Dan Ellis, Tom Binks, Steve Best, Dan Larkin, Mark Brooks, Matt Solly, Dominic Elmes, Darren Smith, Steve Hafner, Louis Valencia and James Smith have all put pen to paper to stay with the Maidstone Road club.

Chatham were switched from Ryman League Division One South to the northern division by the Football Association earlier in the month.

“I’m pleased to announce that the majority of last year’s squad have re-signed for this season with the remaining players planning to do so over the next week or so,” a delighted Binks told www.chathamtownfc.net.

“Discussions have also been taking place with a number of new players and hopefully there will be some news on new signings soon.”

BROMLEY manager Mark Goldberg has today unveiled the signing of central midfielder Adrian Toppin from the side that ended Ramsgate’s promotion hopes, Staines Town.

The central midfielder is the latest in a number of players to commit to the Hayes Lane club next season and Goldberg believes he is another important acquisition ahead of the club’s second Blue Square South campaign.

“Adrian’s a central midfielder of solid stature and mobility from which we can build a team for next season,” the manager told www.bromleyfc.net.
