Saturday 23rd June 2007

www.kentishfootball.co.uk brings you news snippets from Dover Athletic, Dartford, Ramsgate, Maidstone United, Tonbridge Angels, Tunbridge Wells and Deal Town.

With strikers James Dryden, Frannie Collin (ex-Gillingham) and Mark Lovell (signed from Sittingbourne), ahead of him in the pecking order, it appears that former Sittingbourne striker Bradley Spice has played his last game for Dover Athletic.

“Brad has notified the Dover secretary that he won’t be returning,” mother Tania, whose on the committee at Sittingbourne, told www.sittingbournefc.co.uk.

She added: “Since the end of last season he has been approached by a number of clubs and is considering his options.”

Meanwhile, Dover Athletic have published the audio of Thursday night’s meet-the manager event at Crabble, where fans ask questions to chairman Jim Parmenter, new player-boss, Andy Hessenthaler and assistant manager Darren Hare - visit www.doverathletic.com.

And another striker, Rikki Cable, 21, has signed on loan with Ryman League Division One North side Dartford.

Boss Tony Burman told www.dartfordfootballclub.co.uk: “I can confirm to you that Rikki Cable, who is under contract with Thamesmead Town will be joining Dartford on loan with a view to a permanent move.

“Rikki who can play up front or on either wing, is a very good prospect, and has found the net on a regular basis for Thamesmead.

“He is 21 years of age, and wants to play at a higher level and I have no doubt that he will get his chance with Dartford.”

Ramsgate insist defender Will Graham will be playing for them next season.

The former Margate and Dover Athletic reserve team player, has earned rave reviews following his performances for the Rams last season and has been subject to speculation with a move to three east Kent clubs.

But a statement issued by the Ryman Premier League club on www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk , said: “The truth is Will Graham has always been under contract for the new season and he has a year left on his current contract - he is on the retained list.

“Furthermore, as Will is under contact, it will be the club that reject offers, and not Will.”

Alan Walker’s MRI scan last Tuesday has shown his operation has been a complete success.

The verdict has given the joint Maidstone United boss a lot of hope for the future and his surgeon is expecting him to make a good recovery. He is now waiting on a transfer to a specialist unit in England.

Alan Walker, who suffered a freak training ground injury in Belfast, has given an interview to www.maidstoneunited.co.uk.
