Ryman League Division One South club Dulwich Hamlet have parted company with manager Wayne Burnett by “mutual consent”.
The South Londoners invite applications to replace Burnett, whose returned to his former club, Fisher Athletic.
The first decision taken by Burnett was to release the entire first team squad at the Blue Square Southern outfit.
Not one single player survived the cull that can only be described as ruthless in the extreme.
Long-serving Fisher players, including the highly-regarded Piper brothers (Lenny and Chris) now find themselves redundant and looking for new teams.
The players who fell foul of the new managers tough stance were Anthony Riviere, Charley Hearn, Steve Clarke, Lenny Piper, Chris Piper, Nick Davis, Paul Nicholls, Hamid Barr, Jeff Goulding, Leroy Griffiths, Ryan Martin, Luke Hickie, Gavin Heeroo, Gavin Tomlin, Antonio Gonnella, Dominic Weston, Steve Sinclair and Asher Hudson.
A club statement, issued on www.fisherathletic.co.uk, said: “Fisher would like to thank the players for their efforts over the season and wish them all the best for the future. “
Robert Quinn has signed for Ryman Premier League side AFC Wimbledon, following his release from Ebbsfleet United.
New Dons boss Terry Brown, the former Aldershot Town manager, told www.afcwimbledon.co.uk “Robert is a holding midfielder, well-known for his tough tackling and he will bring that bite to midfield that all teams need.”
Dartford boss Tony Burman has parted company with seven players.
Ryan Briggs, James Carter, Steve Hafner, Teddy Ansell, Lew Watts, John Farley and Carl Bruce have all left Princes Park.
“When you are trying to sign players to strengthen the squad there is always the flip side of the coin and players who have served you very well have to depart for various reasons,” Burman told www.dartfordfc.co.uk.
He added: “I would like to wish all the players all the best for the future, and thank them for their help, and stirling efforts while representing Dartford Football Club.”So far Burman has brought in two new players, defenders Adam Flanagan (from Folkestone Invicta) and Jamie Coyle (Dulwich Hamlet).
New Welling United manager Neil Smith has appointed Stuart Nethercott as his assistant manager.
Nethercott, a former professional at Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall, joins the Park View Road club not only as Smith's assistant but also as a player.
Chatham Town manager Phil Miles has today EXCLUSIVELY told www.kentishfootball.co.uk that he wants to bring a new defender, midfielder and a forward to Maidstone Road.
He said: “I’m speaking to three players, obviously they’ve got other options as well as us.
