DARTFORD have confirmed that striker Jacob Erskine and influential midfielder Elliot Bradbrook have both signed contracts ahead of the club’s Blue Square (Bet) Premier campaign next season.
FAVERSHAM TOWN’S annual general meeting will take place in the club house at Salters Lane on Tuesday 10 July. The Ryman League Division One South club are sending out full details with membership application forms.
GILLINGHAM LADIES’ celebrated another successful season at their presentation evening, held at Chatham Town’s Maidstone Road ground.
Laura East scooped the Players’ player-of-the-year-award in her final season with the club. She scored the winning goal in the Kent Cup Final on her final appearance for the club.
Deanna Cooper, who popped up with some crucial goals after spending much of the season playing centre half, collected the Player-of-the-year award.
Bryony Smith, one of the crop of youngsters to come through the Centre of Excellence, made a spot in the first team squad her own, following an amazing season considering it was her first one in women’s football picked up young player-of-the-year.
Emma Tune scooped the Media Player-of-the-year award, while striker Natalie Crinean picked up the golden boot award after scoring eighteen goals.
Reserve team awards went to Liv McGregor (player-player), Lou Jackson (player-of-the-year and media player-of-the-year). Jess Nunn scooped the young-player-of-the-year.
Meanwhile, Becky Lyon scooped the chairman’s award and 92-year-old Ted Larkin collected the supporter-of-the-year award.
HERNE BAY’S women’s team have been formally entered in the South East Counties League next season. Meanwhile, the Ryman League Division One South newcomers have been quoted between £65,000-£100,000 to improve their car park at their Winch’s Field ground and are also considering re-forming a supporters’ club.
MAIDSTONE UNITED player-manager Jay Saunders has confirmed that he has re-secured the services of experienced defender Tommy Osborne.
The Sidcup based player featured more than 40 times for The Stones last season.
Osborne was Dartford’s skipper for the club’s homecoming to Princes Park in November 2006 and will be in the Maidstone United squad when they return home to the County Town next month.
Saunders has thirteen players in next season’s squad.
TONBRIDGE ANGELS supporters’ have a chance to quiz manager Tommy Warrilow and the board of directors over their plans for next season.
The event takes place in The Longmead Lounge at the club’s Longmead Stadium next Sunday 10th June. The bard will be open from 3pm and both Euro 2012 matches will be shown.
Warrilow guided the Angels into a respectable ninth-place in the club’s first Blue Square Bet (Conference) South campaign last term.
