BROMLEY manager Mark Goldberg has unveiled the signing of former Dover Athletic striker Moses Ademola, 24.

Goldberg told www.bromleyfc.net: “Moses is a player we’ve admired for a number of years now and we’re pleased that following the season we had last year, we are able, for the first time, to attract players like Moses to join our progressive squad.”

The Ravens finished in third-place in Skrill South last season, which was their highest ever finish in seven seasons at that level.

Ademola, who began his career in the youth ranks at Cray Wanderers, added: “I’m delighted to be on board. The ambition of the manager and club is superb and where it wants to go is very exciting so it’s great to be a part of it.”

Ademola is one of seventeen players that have committed their future at Hayes Lane.

He joins Adam Bailey-Dennis, Adam Birchall, Ali Fuseni, Damian Scannell, Danny Waldren, Harry Grant, Jack Holland, Jamie Slabber, Joe Anderson, Louis Dennis, Pierre Joseph-Dubois, Reece Prestedge, Rob Swaine, Sam Higgins, Sam Long and Seb Brown.

DOVER ATHLETIC are offering fans the chance to watch all of their home pre-season matches for five pounds per game.

The club secured promotion back to the Conference Premier after beating Sutton United and Ebbsfleet United in the play-offs after Chris Kinnear’s men finished in fifth-place in Skrill South last season.

The Whites welcome Margate (19 July), Faversham Town (22 July), Colchester United (25 July) and Gillingham (29 July) to Crabble and children under 11 and season ticket holders can watch the action for free.

Chairman Jim Parmenter told www.doverathletic.com: “This pre-season we really want to give the people of Dover a chance to come and see what we have to offer at Crabble.

“We hope that we might get a few people hooked and see some new faces joining the party at Crabble for our first season back with the elite of non-league football.

“With the support of the town anything is possible, but we do need the people of Dover to get involved. 

“We hope this gesture offers everyone a little incentive to give it a try.”

DULWICH HAMLET supporters are meeting in the boardroom at Champion Hill Stadium on Tuesday night at 19:30.

Fans of the Ryman Premier League club are staging their annual “12th man” general meeting to find out what’s happening to their donations, how much is in the kitty, where it goes and which players it’s paid for.

“The magnificent support last season that saw gates rise by over 30% has also led to a new record number of season ticket holders,” said a club statement.

“During the early bird period more tickets have already been purchased than during the whole of last season.”

LEATHERHEAD goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim has confirmed that he has left the Surrey club.

Ibrahim, 23, who is Dartford’s Academy manager, saved two penalties in the Ryman League Division One South play-off final which sent the club back to the Ryman Premier League after a two-year absence at hosts Folkestone Invicta’s expense.

The Kent based keeper tweeted: “Loads of people are asking me about my future.  I won’t go into too much detail but have agreed in principle to sign for a great club.

“I will announce once it’s all signed, sealed and delivered.”

MARGATE have confirmed that goalkeeper Tom Beadle, 18, has agreed to join the Ryman Premier League club on trial ahead of the new season.

Beadle, who featured for Millwall’s under 18’s side last season, was released by the south London club in the summer and has agreed to join Margate for their pre-season campaign.

RAMSGATE have issued the following statement to respond with the one that was published on this website by their former manager Justin Luchford on 26 May 2014.

The Ryman League Division One South club, who have sacked Tim Dixon (now Hythe Town’s manager) and Luchford during 2014, said: “Whilst the club understand Justin is aggrieved at the board’s decision, it was carried out in the best interests of the club.

“Justin came to us with a reputation to repair and he was aware that we had been warned not to appoint him because of that reputation.

“Whilst we have no intention of going into specifics, Justin assured us that this reputation was unfairly levelled. He ticked every box we needed and came with a strong management team and so was dully appointed.

“Justin’s enthusiasm was evident, but concerns over some of his decisions were growing and at a meeting he answered further questions and finished by saying ‘on my head be it’.

“Needless to say the answers he gave were not sufficient and as matters progressed over the week the board felt obliged to meet on (the) Friday.

“It was agreed that minor problems at this stage would possibly become major problems during the season and so the board decided to part company with him now rather than later.

“Justin is fully aware that we have just come off the back of what has been a difficult season and we have no intention of repeating past mistakes.

“The board at Ramsgate Football Club would like to reiterate that they have made a decision that is for the benefit of the club moving forward.

“We understand some people may be thinking that we have made a rash decision regarding the manager’s position.

“The board refuse to be drawn into a public slanging match and feel the matter is now pleased.

“We have the full support of the players, the staff and the coaches who saw some early warning signs and as a club we feel we are now moving forward with our overall mission of projecting this club upwards over the next three seasons.

“The club has invested heavily in its new academy and partnership with Soccer Elite and nothing and no-one will distract us from what we are trying to achieve.”

TONBRIDGE ANGELS have unveiled the signing of former Maidstone United defender Jerrome Sobers, 28.

The 6’ 1” central defender has previously played for Ipswich Town, Bromley, Billericay Town and was released by Maidstone United manager Jay Saunders last month.

Angels boss Steve McKimm, who is rebuilding the squad following relegation from Skrill South under former boss Tommy Warrilow, told www.tonbridgeangelsonline.co.uk: “Jerrome is a strong and quick centre half who leads by example and with Jon Heath I now have two players at the heart of defence who have experience and will provide leadership to some of the younger members of the team.”

Howard’s friend, Aaron Burrett said: “I can’t thank you enough for all your posts on Kentishfootball and your support in getting the donation site out there.

“I’m in contact with (parents) Mark and Marian daily and George is showing tiny slight improvements which is good.

“They have both said they can’t thank everyone enough for their kind words and donations that George has received.

“The response since people found out about this terrible accident has been amazing.”

A benefit match for Howard will be staged on Sunday, 8 June (13:30pm) at Coldharbour Leisure Centre, Chapel Farm Road, Eltham, London  SE9 3LX.

The match has been organised by Micky Collins, Darren Anslow and Richmond Kissi and it will be between players who have or currently play professionally between a team that have or have previously played Kent League football.

More importantly, an action will take place two miles away at the STC Sports Ground, Ivor Grove, New Eltham, London SE9 2AJ after the match to raise much needed funds.

Wayne Lawrence has made a donation to the fund.

He said: “Although I don’t know George personally, we have several mutual friends and when a group of my friends went to the Sittingbourne Greyhounds on Saturday, there was a dog racing called ‘Boywonder George’ in the first race.

“We all put in some money and agreed that if it came in then we would donate it to helping George and his family and I am happy to say that it won so please find our donation of £40.”
