Stevens' control expected to be finalised in six-weeks

Wednesday 29th August 2007

Officials at Kent League club Tunbridge Wells have confirmed that Gary Stevens is expected to complete his control of the club in six-weeks time, writes Stephen McCartney.

“The transfer of the club into a Limited Company under the control of Gary Stevens is progressing, and is just awaiting the turning of the legal cogs to be completed, which unfortunately is not as fast as some would like, due to the number of parties involved,” explained club secretary, Mr Barry Whitlock.

“It is hoped this will be completed in the next six weeks.

“Things are already on the move within the club, and various works have started to improve the environment around the ground.”

To help with some of this progression, the club will be holding a working party at Culverden Stadium on Sunday, 16th September for five hours from 10am.

Mr Whitlock added: “Anyone wishing to help will be welcomed on the day, and for those that are here working all through those hours, there will be a Barbeque afterwards.
