Stones are raring to go

Maidstone United joint-manager Lloyd Hume was pleased with his players’ fitness ahead of their Ryman Premier League campaign.

The Stones reported back to pre-season training on Thursday night at Mote Park and the promoted side are raring to go.

Hume told www.maidstoneunited.co.uk  : “Some of the lads have obviously worked hard throughout the summer break and you can see the benefits that they have got from that dedication and effort tonight.

“Some of the players have seen that we’ve got some new signings and that their own place in the side might not be certain.

“It appears that those players have really put some decent training ground work in during their time off, which is pleasing.”
