THE FLEET AT WEMBLEY: Kent’s Red Army descend on Wembley
EBBSFLEET UNITED are urging all their fans to wear anything red when they attend the FA Carlsberg Trophy Final against Torquay United at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (2:30pm).
In a bid to turn Wembley Stadium into a sea of red, Fleet fans are being urged to turn up in club colours as the Stonebridge Road club aim to bring the FA Carlsberg Trophy to Kent for the very first time in the competition’s history.
With more than 20,000 tickets already sold, Fleet fans so far outnumber their Torquay counterparts - although that is expected to change following the Gulls’ play-off defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals Exeter City yesterday and the likelihood that their supporters will now purchase Trophy Final tickets in greater numbers.
If Fleet fans can get the message out for all ticket holders to turn up in a red shirt - be it a Wembley Souvenir shirt, an old Fleet shirt or absolutely anything else as long as it’s red - we can give Liam Daish’s men that added boost when they walk out of the tunnel.
Knowing more than 20,000 fans are behind them and hearing those 20,000 cheer them on, all they’ll need to compete the picture is to see a bank of red stretching around the lower tier of Wembley Stadium.
So get the message out to all those fans travelling to the Fleet’s greatest ever occasion - wear the colours and paint Wembley RED!
Fans without their tickets for Kent’s BIG day out, can purchase their tickets from Wembley Stadium from 9am on Saturday, right up until the 2:30pm kick off.
Tickets are priced at £25 (adults) or £12.50 (under 16s and over 65s).
Don't forget that the Fleet's PASE side play their Thatcham Town counterparts at Stonebridge Road on Wednesday night (7:30pm), in their bid to win the Football Conference Youth League Championship Play-Off - the first of TWO pieces of silverware that the Fleet will be winning this week!
COME ON THE FLEET - BRING THE TROPHY BACK TO KENT!
