Tickets selling fast for Charlton's visit to Darts

DARTFORD have today confirmed that Charlton Athletic will be fielding first team players during the pre-season friendly between the two sides at Princes Park on Tuesday, 15^th July (7:45pm), writes Stephen McCartney.

The Darts, promoted to the Ryman Premier League, will launch their new away shirt at the game, which will attract another packed house.

Fans ripped off the yellow shirts, shorts and socks off the victorious players when they officially clinched the Ryman League Division One North title following their last minute 2-1 defeat at Edgware Town in April.

But Dartford fans who produce their ticket at the game will receive a £5 discount off the purchase of the new away shirt.

Tickets, that are selling out fast, can be snapped up from the club shop at Princes Park Stadium.

Fans can also get their hands on tickets by contacting the club on 01322 299 990.

Tickets cost £10 (adults), £5 (concessions and 14-17 year-olds) and £1 (under 14s). The family ticket, however, is unavailable for this game. There will be a £1 administration and postage charge for telephone bookings.

Dartford, meanwhile, are also searching for a shirt sponsor for their academy teams.

The scheme is potentially a two year programme aimed a young players with aspirations to improve their football skills but who also appreciate the importance of continuing their studies.

This is managed by Simon Copley, proprietor of Pro Future Soccer Schools and assistant coach Mike Sandeman, alongside Jamie Coyle, who plays for the first team, from North West Kent College.

A club statement explained the benefits sponsoring the academy youngsters at Kent’s best supported non-league side.

“Due to the success of last season, this year we are able to offer this programme to two teams, we are therefore looking for a new shirt sponsor.

“Your company logo will be printed on all the shirts. This sponsorship will cost £1,500 for one season for both teams.

“The academy will have a greater involvement this season, the team will be present on (first team) match days, assisting with meet and greet, they will also be helping with the selling of programmes and have a greater presence under the Dartford Football Club umbrella.”

An opportunity to sponsor the academy tracksuits will also be available and these will be worn to and from matches, on match days and on any other publicity events the team may hold.
