Tonbridge Angels launch Football in the Community Scheme

TONBRIDGE ANGELS are delighted to announce the launch of a new Football in the Community Scheme.



The scheme is to be managed by Jonnie Elwood, a young and highly qualified coach who will be leading on exciting ventures such as; the development of a centre of excellence for 8 to 11 year olds, after school clubs, summer schools as well as taking the Angels name into local authority sport schemes and other community out reach work. Coaching will be provided by Angels players and staff.

In a statement published on www.tonbridgeangelsonline.co.uk, John Gibbons, the club’s director responsible for youth development said: "We are very lucky to have secured the services of Jonnie who has a track record in community coaching as well as an existing network of contacts in local schools and clubs.

“The community scheme will be able to work alongside the increasingly successful Academy the club are developing in partnership with Hadlow College."
