Versatile Lye bolsters Dover squad

Danny Lye has signed for Dover Athletic until the end of the season, writes Justin Allen.

Lye, who is a former utility player at Tonbridge, will add strength and a number of welcome options for manager Clive Walker as his team enter the vital run-in.

Chairman Jim Parmenter told www.doverathletic.com  : "This signing gives Clive some options and bolsters the ranks as we enter the business end of the season.

"The transfer deadline is on March 31 and we were keen to add another player to our squad - and we're delighted to have finally achieved that by getting Danny to the club.

"He is an experienced player and can slot in a number of positions."

The club now have a squad in place that can help them achieve their aim of promotion to the Ryman Premier League.
