We can't give up! We can get ourselves out of drop zone, insists Pinnock

MARGATE striker James Pinnock insists the struggling club can claw themselves out of relegation trouble in their last thirteen make-or-break games to the season, writes Stephen McCartney.
Margate suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to basement side Waltham Abbey at Hartsdown Park at the weekend, and as a result slump to the foot of the table.
With fans voicing their disapproval on how things have gone this season on fans’ forums, the club’s third manager of the season, Iain O’Connell, must lift his troops ahead of Tuesday night’s home game against seventh-placed side Tooting & Mitcham United.
“They’ve got to start believing in themselves,” the former Great Wakering Rovers manager told www.margate-fc.com.
“I don’t think there’s any belief in there. It’s a dog fight and we’ve just got to win. It’s as simple as that.”
James Pinnock, who has joined his former Maidstone United team-mates Jamie Turner, Jay Saunders and Nick Barnes at Hartsdown Park, is not going to give up the battle to beat the drop.
“It’s difficult to come in at this stage of the season, for the manager as well, we’ve only got 13 games left,” the striker told www.margate-fc.com.
“Today was a big game. We needed the three points really, which we haven’t got, but we’ve got to go again on Tuesday.
“The only way is up - literally. We’ve got nothing to lose now so we’ve just to try and play and try and enjoy it and score some goals.
“You can’t give up yet. As long as there’s points to play for, we can’t give up because we can still get ourselves out of this.”
