We have to have that menatlity of putting four or five wins together, says Faversham boss Ray Turner
The Lilywhites have sealed back-to-back away victories over Burgess Hill Town and Maidstone United and as a result are in thirteenth-place in the Ryman League Division One South table, with 34 points from 29 games.
Turner, who is in his first full season in charge at Salters Lane, was delighted that his side bounced back from a defeat to Folkestone Invicta in their last home game.
He said: “It is now important we carry this on back home as I’m still disappointed about the Folkestone performance.
“I think with eleven men we’d have got a result there, but we’ve responded by winning the next two now and we can’t give anything up now for the rest of the season.
“I think we showed in (the Maidstone) performance we can match anyone in the league and we’ve just got to win every single game we play.
“I know that’s a strange thing to say but we have that mentality of being able to go out there and win every single game and put four or five wins together, rather than just one or two and that’s what we need to do for the rest of the season.”
Faversham finished their inaugural Ryman League campaign as the highest placed of the Kent sides last season.
But Turner admitted he is already making plans for next season.
He said: “At the back of my mind, I’m thinking about next season. I think the squad is forming now. The squad is looking strong as a team.
“Everyone wants one or two more players, which is the nature of the league and within the constraints that we’ve got at the football club we’re putting together a really strong team and I’m starting to look ahead a little bit and see this squad develop.”
Surrey outfit Godalming Town, meanwhile, arrive in Kent sitting in seventh-place in the table, nine points adrift of fifth-placed Worthing.
