We've had an up-and-down start, admits Fisher boss Gary Lisney

FISHER boss Gary Lisney says he is looking for more consistency from his side, writes Stephen McCartney.
Fisher needed extra time to scrape past Wessex League side Ringwood Town at Champion Hill yesterday to book their place in the second qualifying round of the FA Carlsberg Vase.
Their highest crowd of the season - 160 - saw goals from debutants Adrian Ma and Rob Hughes grab a 2-1 win after extra time - to book a home tie against Kent League rivals Norton Sports.
“Hopefully it will be another bumper crowd,” Lisney told www.kentishfootball.co.uk.
“Norton have got a fair bit of travelling to do to get up here. But it’s a long way off yet, we’ve got some league games to get some points on the table if we can.”
Fisher travel to Deal Town on Saturday and Holmesdale next Tuesday before they face Ben Taylor’s side in the FA Vase at Champion Hill on Sunday 19 September.
“It will be an absolutely tough game (at Deal) but we’ve won today so hopefully the boys will be confident,” said Lisney.
“They’re all pretty fit, we’ve had a pretty decent pre-season, we’ve got a decent sized squad, so two games in three days shouldn’t present any problems for us.
“It gives people, perhaps, who have not played as much as some, an opportunity to get on the pitch. I said to the boys in the changing room after the game, we’ve used 14 today, but we’ve got a squad of about 20 and everyone’s got a role to play this season.
Fisher are presently in the bottom four of the Kent League table with a record of one win and three defeats - and Lisney admits it’s been an inconsistent start.
“Up and down to be fair to be honest. We’ve had a couple of decent performances and played a couple of very good teams,” he said.
“Greenwich Borough will be there or there abouts and I’m actually quite delighted for them because they play football the right way in my view. I’m pretty good friends with the manager down there, Steve Firkins. I think he’s done a brilliant job and they deserved to beat us. Maybe 3-1 flattered them, I don’t know, but they thoroughly deserved to win.”
“We’ve been a little bit up and down, we’ve had a couple of good performances and not many points. We’ve had a couple of mediocre performances and got points.”
