We will give everything we can to make sure Ramsgate give 100% every week, vows Tim Dixon

RAMSGATE boss Tim Dixon says he cannot wait for pre-season to start so he can stamp his authority on the club.

Dixon and his assistant Darren Beale took over from Jim Ward last month and they are looking forward to the start of next season already.

The Rams finished in eleventh-place in the Ryman League Division One South table, with 55 points from 40 games.

“As the season has come to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their support and good luck messages,” Dixon told www.ramsgate-fc.co.uk.

“Obviously, we have had a very inconsistent season, finishing in an average position in the League which resulted in changes being made at the club.

“As I mentioned at the presentation evening, a massive thanks to Jim Ward who has put his heart and soul into the club and also Adrian Hubbard whose hard work should not be taken for granted as well.”

Dixon has already spoken to Ramsgate’s players regarding their futures at Southwood Stadium.

He said: “The hard work doesn’t stop though as I met almost all of the first team squad on Saturday morning to speak with all the players individually, so a further announcement will be made this week with regard to retained or new players.”

Dixon insisted he wants a huge improvement on the pitch next season.

“Looking to next season, huge improvements are being made off the field to the club and I have to make sure that this is reciprocated on the field of play,” said Dixon.

“It’s a challenge that Darren and I are really looking forward to and we will give everything we can to ensure that the team give 100% week in week out to the cause as we know where we need to make improvements and this will be addressed.

“Pre-season can’t come quick enough as far as I’m concerned and we should have a couple of decent pre-season fixtures as well to test our resolve at such an early stage.”
