Wings green light to stage Blue Square Premier football

WELLING UNITED'S ground at Park View Road has this week passed the ground grading required and would be eligible for promotion into the Blue Square Premier - if the situation arose.

Meanwhile, on the pitch manager Andy Ford has been busy in the transfer market with the loan deals for Sam Gargan and Sonny Cobbs being extended for another month.

Also, youth goalkeeper Adam Highsted has signed a first team contract for the Wings but Marc Powell has been released.

Sam Keevil, who has a foot injury, has also been released.

Midfielder Danny Phillips is training with the club with a view to joining on loan from Blue Square South outfit Weymouth.
