Yesterday’s Ryman League Division One South clash between Cray Wanderers and Chipstead was postponed three hours before kick-off, due to a frozen pitch at Hayes Lane, Bromley.
Tonight’s game, in the same division, between leaders Kingstonian and Walton & Hersham, has already been postponed due to heavy snow, and has been re-arranged for next Monday, 9th February.
All eight games involving Kent sides tomorrow night are all expected to be postponed due to the wintry conditions.
People are advised only to travel if it’s absolutely necessary, although public transport is out of the question.
Mark Salter, who lives in Bromley Common, walked to Bromley North bus station, hoping to catch a bus to Croydon, where he works.
“No work for me either,” he told www.kentishfootball.co.uk this morning. “I walked to Bromley and no buses are running whatsoever.”
Back to football, the transfer window shuts at 5 o’clock this afternoon, and all eyes are on Cody McDonald’s expected move from Ryman Premier League side Dartford to a Football League club.
